(Note: Article originally published on Scified, January 22nd, 2015.) “A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.” - Romeo & Juliet, Act II, Scene II I highly doubt Godzilla had the same sentiment in Godzilla vs. Biollante, but I enjoy the film enough to call it sweet. It's been just over twenty-five years since it was released (December 16, 1989) and it felt wrong to overlook. For the film's 25th anniversary, film historian Ed Godziszewski was kind enough to share his words and memories about the film. Mr. Godziszewski recorded an audio commentary for the movie's 2012 DVD/Blu-ray release by Echo Bridge. Although it didn't make it on the final disc he’s agreed to talk about his research.
